We hope that by completing this course you will have begun, or maybe added to, your understanding of what person-centered thinking means. Of course, being person-centered is more than just completing a tool or using the right language.
Being person-centered is about listening deeply to a person and their family and friends, and acting to make sure they are given opportunity to fully contribute, grow in relationships, make choices and take up a valued role alongside everyone else.
Please use what you have learned every day, and don’t put the tools to one side for special occasions.
Person-centered thinking tools are there to be used, so use them when they make sense and seem to fit a situation.
Be creative and develop a team or culture that embraces person-centered thinking every day, helping people towards better lives.
In this course, we’ve covered the basics of person-centered thinking and taken a closer look at just 12 of the many person-centered thinking tools – but there is loads more information out there.
To find out more you can start by looking at the Helen Sanderson Associates website.
