Action planning

Maria, her mom and Harry work together to agree on a number of actions that will help to resolve some of the issues that they were facing. Here’s what happened.

Maria and Harry researched Internet dating sites that have specialist vetting procedures. Maria chose to use some of her budget to pay for this extra service.

Maria agreed to talk to Mom from time to time about how things are going. She gave her mom a tour around the dating site and showed her how she uses it. Maria and her mom went through the safety guidelines together.

Harry used the roles and responsibilities tool to clarify who is responsible for what when it comes to Maria choosing and going out on dates.

Maria’s mom organized a girl’s night out to celebrate Maria’s increasing confidence and freedom – and to have a bit of fun on the way.

Maria is still looking for a partner, but everyone is much happier.
