Good conversations

So how do you go about writing a one-page profile for Maria? What information do you need and where does it come from?
 
Well the obvious starting point is the person themselves – talk to Maria! But it’s more than just asking questions and filling out a form. It’s about having good conversations and really finding out what makes someone tick. You never simply ask someone what is important to them. You learn through conversations and paying attention to what they do as well as what they say.
 
If the person does not use words to communicate then you can use their communication chart and learning log to help you to discover more about them.
 
You can also use the relationship circle tool to identify those people who are closest to the person and who know them best. They might be able to help you to learn more.
