Who to involve in the process

Person-centered reviews gather information about people in the context of their family and community; therefore it’s essential for family and friends to be full partners in the planning process.
 
Where possible the person should decide who they want to involve, and how. When this is not possible you need to decide who the person would want to involve. A good starting-point is ‘people who know and care about the person’ who may have a different perspective on the individual from paid staff.
